“GOAC: The Master’s Voice” Key Takeaways

God of All Creation by James Robison

This book is about the life lessons learned by the author from observing pets and wildlife.

Chapter 1: The Master’s Voice

The author owns a dachshund named “Princess” and he observed how it is prone to wander and get lost especially when it is so excited to go outside. It is only the author’s voice that Princess obeys. She does not listen to voices that she cannot recognize.

The same is true with how I see my life. I have desires that are sometimes could get me to danger but I fail to see that because I’m all excited just to get what I want. There are so many circumstances that I got lost and faced so many consequences because it’s in our nature, as humans, we get distracted by too many voices. But God graciously calls me back every time I go astray.

Really, the question is not whether we will stray. We will, because it is in our nature to do so. The question is, what will we do when God calls us back into His care? And, even more important, will we know God’s voice when He does call?

James Robison

Why should one consider to know the voice of God?

He is God and we are not. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

I have experienced so many instances that I really did not understand how things would make sense in my life. But I kept on trusting the sovereign God who knows the big picture. I do not perfectly understand everything in my life but I trust the One who He does.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image/likeness.

There’s no better way to traverse through life than deeply knowing the One who created us in His likeness.

As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear (reverence/deep respect) Him. (Psalm 103:11)

He loves us, unconditionally. He does not want us to be in danger. It is in our nature to go astray and God knows it. He does not require rituals that we may come to Him. Jesus was the One who was crucified on the cross that we could come to Him. He made the way for us to be reconciled with Him, today until the end of life here on earth that our souls will not be subjected to eternal damnation in hell. That’s how His love abounds.

He is the One who never leaves nor forsakes. (Hebrews 13:5)

He saved us from eternal damnation, there’s nothing that He cannot do with our lives here on earth. He has the perfect plan and He desires for us to get involved.

If you are interested in knowing God or have a deep desire in knowing His character or God simply seems to be talking to you right now through this blog…

This is how to get to know God’s voice.

One must come to His fold.

Talk to Him. Pray sincerely from the heart as if talking to the closest person in your life. Surrender your past, present, and future life to Him and accept the free gift of salvation. Believe and He will come to you.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 7:7

One can learn His voice through the His words written in the Bible.

We can know and discern the voice of God by being familiarized with His teachings found in the Bible.

When we know and respond to the voice of God, we will never be lost. He promises to lead us down the path of life. Once we come to His fold, nothing will ever separate us nor take us away from His security and presence. When we go astray, He will always call us back.

God loves us so much. He loves us unconditionally that He won’t force us to surrender to Him and to love Him back. He gave each of us a choice. It is still one’s personal decision whether to respond or not to the Father’s call.
